When is the receipt shared with the buyer?

The receipt is shared when the payment is successfully recorded on Foundation, and that can happen in two ways.

The Automatic and Manual receipts:

1. Automatically: For CC and ACH (for both instant and net terms), our system automatically detects successful payments, marks the order as paid, and shares the receipt with the buyer over email.

2. Manually: Sellers can manually update the payment status in the order details using the "Update Payment Status" option. This is ideal for offline payment methods like "Check in Mail" and not recommended for online methods such as CC or ACH, which are automatically managed by the system. The receipt is shared with the buyer when the payment status is updated by the seller.
