How to Set Up Order Terms

In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of setting up order terms on Foundation's Seller Portal.

This article will take you through the process of setting up order terms. Using Foundation, you can establish clear order terms that align with your business strategy, enhancing your control over sales and improving your customers' purchasing experience.

Step 1: Log In and Navigate to Brands

Log into the Seller Portal and find 'Brands' on the left-hand navigation menu. Click on it.

Step 2: Select Your Brand

You'll see a brand already created with your company name, which you entered during signup. Click on it to add more details.

Step 3: Set the Minimum Order Value and Quantity, and Add Order Terms

Scroll down to find 'Minimum Order Value' and 'Minimum Order Quantity'.

  • Minimum Order Value: This is the total cart value a buyer needs to reach in order to place an order.
  • Minimum Order Quantity: This is the number of items a buyer needs to add to their cart to proceed with the order.

For example, if you set the minimum order value to $200 and the minimum order quantity to 8 units, the buyer will need at least $200 worth of items and at least 8 units in their cart to proceed with checkout.

Below these settings, you'll also find a section to add specific order terms. These terms provide additional information for the buyer, but unlike the minimum order value and quantity, they do not impose any restrictions on the checkout process.

📖 Note: If you run a multi-brand store with more than one brand, you can add more brands from the 'Brands' tab and set different order terms for each.

✔️The system will validate the items and order value for each brand separately.

Step 4: Update the Brand

After setting the minimum order value and quantity and adding order terms, review the summary on the right-hand side and click 'Update Brand.’

Step 5: Confirm the Setup

To confirm your setup, click on 'Visit Storefront'. Add a few items to your cart and go to the cart to see if the order terms have been fulfilled or not. Once the order terms have been met, the buyer should be able to proceed with checkout.
