Place an Order for a Buyer

In this guide, we'll show you how to place an order on behalf of a buyer from the Seller Portal.

This feature allows sellers to create and manage orders for their customers directly from the Seller Portal. This feature is helpful in B2B scenarios where a buyer may place an order over a call, text, or email, or when it's a recurring order that the seller wants to place on behalf of the buyer. It streamlines the purchasing process and ensures accuracy in order fulfillment.

A. Log In and Navigate to Orders

Log into the Seller Portal and navigate to the 'Orders' tab' on the left navigation menu.

B. Create a New Order

Click the blue button on the top right corner that says 'Place Order'.

Select a Customer and Shipping Address

Select the customer for whom you want to place an order or invite a new customer.

If there are saved shipping addresses for that customer, they will appear in a list for selection. If not, you can add a new shipping address and continue.

Add Products to Cart

Search for the products that the customer wants to add to the cart. You will see the specific pricing for that customer.

Add the desired products to the cart.

C. Checkout Process

At the checkout page, you can change the shipping and billing addresses if needed.

Selecting Payment Method

Select a payment method available for that customer. You can add a new payment method, select a saved one, or select ‘Invoice’.

Review and Place the Order

Perform a final review of the order details, including addresses, items and payment method. Add a Purchase Order Number if required.

Click 'Place Order' to complete the process for the customer.

📖Note: Both the buyer and the seller will be notified of the order. Even if you do not place an order immediately, your selections will be saved when you try again to place an order for the same customer.

To manage the order, click on the order in the 'Orders' tab and manage it from there.
